Are you listening to fake news? That is the thought of the day. No, this is not a political statement. This is,just, an analogy and how it applies to the word. In Eccl 11:4, we have seen how this verse has been used to motivate people to give their tithes and offering but it goes further than that. Remember when I taught that your life is a garden? Eccl 11:4 is speaking about the circumstances in life. In life, we will face many challenges, especially when it comes to spending time with the Lord.

I have noticed it when I get alone with God and pray, the phone would ring. Distractions will come. Why? The enemy does not want you to spend time with God and his word. His purpose is to get you sidetracked so that you will not put the word in your heart. Friend, circumstances are going to come to challenge God’s word. Satan will use the circumstances (Fake news) to question God’s promises.

Many of you may be going through a health challenge. Perhaps you are getting medical treatment to an incurable disease. The doctor says there is no hope. Stop listening to fake news. God’s word says who’s report will you believe? (Isa 53:1) I am not saying that you deny the problem–If you are sick, you’re sick. I am saying that you speak the answer so that it can override the problem and change it. Doing that take time and discipline. That is why it is so important that we take time out to meditate in God’s promises and attack the fake news in our lives. (Joshua 1:8)

Whether it be financial, healing or the salvation of a loved one, take some time to meditate in his word. Don’t just read it. Reading is fine but you need to have it deep in your heart. Life is full of tests and spending some time in the study of the word is key. Take a verse and meditate in it. Use it in the face of circumstances and win. Doing this will ensure victory and enable you to enjoy the spoils of war.
